The new Bangalore Mangalore train will bring a whole new dimension to Train based Tourism in Karnataka. For now Nature lovers can only sample some of the sights and be contented with convenience factor of this new train service. Mangalore is the gateway to Beach and Sea Tourism along the west coast of Karnataka. Some of the hot spots are Karwar, Udupi and Malpe. These locations are also great destinations in south india and Karnataka for Water Sports and Activities. The journey would take around 12 hours.
